Role overview
MAC Partners Group is a diversified group active in engineering, EPC, mining support services, manufacturing, and technical training, with operations in Ghana and across West Africa. The wider group also has interests in agriculture, education, and community development through its subsidiaries and related ventures. The organisation is executing a five-year transformation and expansion agenda aimed at putting stronger systems in place, growing into new markets, strengthening local manufacturing, and developing future leaders.
To support this journey, the company is looking for a senior HR professional who can connect people strategy with business priorities and work closely with executive leadership to ensure the workforce approach supports overall growth objectives.
This position is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for building and rolling out HR systems, organisational structures, performance management tools, talent pipelines, learning frameworks, and culture initiatives across the Group. The role is designed to help MAC become a scalable, process-driven organisation that can sustain fast growth in engineering, manufacturing, and technical training.

Key responsibilities
- Build and refresh organisational structures, including organograms, role profiles, job grading, and competency frameworks for the Group’s subsidiaries.
- Convert business priorities into workforce plans and staffing needs, and support restructuring work led by the Office of the CEO.
- Oversee recruitment end to end for technical, administrative, leadership, training, and factory positions across the Group.
- Create and maintain talent pipelines for current operations in Ghana as well as growth markets such as Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Burkina Faso.
- Improve the candidate journey and strengthen onboarding practices across subsidiaries.
- Roll out a Group-wide performance management system using KPIs, scorecards, and quarterly review cycles.
- Partner with subsidiary leaders to set targets, monitor performance, and build accountability.
- Contribute to incentive structures linked to results for senior managers, TTM roles, production teams, and sales teams.
- Lead culture-building and values-alignment initiatives that reinforce the Group’s leadership philosophy.
- Put the Navigator and Catalyst Leadership Programs into practice for emerging leaders.
- Support internal communication efforts that improve teamwork, professionalism, and organisational culture.
- Carry out annual training needs assessments across all subsidiaries.
- Coordinate skills development, compliance learning, supervisory development, and CPD initiatives.
- Work with MPTI and subsidiary technical managers to improve workforce capability and technical competence.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure HR practices remain aligned with Ghana Labour Law and broader HR governance requirements.
- Provide advisory support to GMs, supervisors, and line managers on people-related matters.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and HRIS tools that improve people management.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR reports.
- Prepare monthly HR dashboards and metrics for the Office of the CEO.
Qualifications and experience
- A first degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or a closely related field.
- At least 7 to 10 years of experience overall, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior HR or managerial position.
- Proven track record handling HR in engineering, manufacturing, mining services, EPC, or multi-site environments.
- Strong capability in organisational design, performance management, recruitment, and HR policy development.
Preferred background
- Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or CIHRM.
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation, or fast-growth businesses.
- Exposure to technical learning settings, L&D systems, or TVET institutions.
- Experience with labour environments in West Africa, including Guinea and Sierra Leone, is an added advantage.

Additional information
This role is based in Accra and may require periodic travel. It is a full-time, onsite senior management position within a multi-entity organisation undergoing significant transformation and growth.
