Job description
Role overview
This role sits within the site HR team for a major fulfillment center. The position supports day-to-day human resources operations, associate engagement, attendance accuracy, payroll coordination, grievance handling, statutory compliance, and contractor administration while helping maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Core responsibilities
- Support floor operations in the fulfillment center and stay closely connected with associates.
- Respond to HR-related queries, track requests, follow up on open items, document cases, and help resolve issues.
- Help create an engaging work environment by supporting associate engagement activities.
- Work with site teams to verify that employees are assigned the right schedule and shift pattern.
- Prepare reports that help identify attendance mismatches or irregularities so associates are paid correctly and on time.
- Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure payroll inputs are accurate and submitted on time.
- Support roster checks, audits, updates, and corrections to keep scheduling records accurate.
- Assist operations teams with peak-period activities and employee engagement initiatives.
- Drive process improvement ideas and recommend ways to use resources more effectively.
- Learn internal systems quickly and use them to complete day-to-day responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate headcount data and other HR reports.
- Promote employee morale and productivity through regular engagement.
- Identify emerging employee relations concerns early and escalate appropriately.
- Handle grievances and support issue resolution.
- Work with HRIS-related processes and data.
- Coordinate with recruitment and ERC teams as needed.
- Support statutory compliance activities.
- Track contractor and agency headcount, along with related compliance requirements.
- Process and audit contractor services and invoices at regional level.
- Manage basic associate support items such as uniforms, pantry needs, lockers, and related supplies.
- Coordinate engagement programs such as birthdays, monthly learning sessions, recognition activities, and other associate experience events.
- Support vendor management and cafeteria management activities.
Requirements
- A graduate degree in any discipline, preferably from a recognized university.
- Overall professional experience of 2 to 3 years.
- At least 6 months of human resources experience.
- At least 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office tools and applications.
- Experience working in confidential environments.
- Preferred background in HR within large warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing organizations.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Good presentation, reporting, and teamwork skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- High integrity, intellectual honesty, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to put in sustained effort and go beyond expectations when required.
- Strong ownership mindset, collaborative approach, and focus on delivering high standards and results.
- Experience related to contractor services and invoice auditing is relevant.
