Role Overview
Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a motivated and creative publicity professional to join their Series PR team as a Publicity Coordinator. This role involves supporting publicity campaigns for Amazon Original Series, requiring exceptional organizational skills and a collaborative mindset. The position is based in New York and reports to the Publicity Principal while assisting the wider Series PR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior PR members in managing series campaigns including organizing talent itineraries, securing glam styling, coordinating travel, managing screener distribution, and compiling media coverage reports.
- Arrange logistics for talent appearances in press and promotional events both domestically and internationally.
- Support the planning and execution of in-person and virtual press junkets and premiere events.
- Monitor series budgets and track the success metrics of promotional campaigns.
- Help draft and develop written publicity materials.
- Stay informed on current trends, industry news, and shifts in television and entertainment sectors.
- Create vendor profiles and manage purchase orders, including troubleshooting issues.
Work Environment
Daily activities include liaising with internal teams and external partners, managing tight media deadlines, negotiating styling rates, facilitating talent travel, and tracking budgets to ensure smooth campaign operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in communications or public relations.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience within the television or film sectors; prior roles at agencies, studios, streamers, or networks preferred.
