Job description
Overview
A Japanese company based in Düsseldorf seeks a German-fluent HR Assistant to join their team focusing on expatriate support and payroll services. This permanent full-time position blends office work with hybrid flexibility and offers an annual salary between €55,000 and €65,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding processes for expatriates, handling visa and immigration formalities and preparing necessary paperwork and registrations.
- Offer ongoing assistance to expatriates and their families concerning relocation, housing, healthcare, insurance, and general settling-in support.
- Accompany expatriates to government and authority appointments such as residence registration, visa procedures, and permit collection.
- Coordinate offboarding and repatriation tasks, including preparing termination documents, lease cancellations, apartment handovers, renovation arrangements, and deregistrations.
- Communicate effectively with real estate agents, landlords, and governmental bodies.
- Process monthly payrolls using DATEV software, including gross and net salary calculations and related payments.
- Handle month-end and year-end payroll operations and generate invoices for payroll expenses.
- Manage employee time recording systems, working hours control, and training activities.
- Provide ongoing assistance to the HR Manager and perform additional ad-hoc HR tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Basic understanding of payroll calculation, accounting, and familiarity with tax and social security laws.
- Previous experience in HR or similar support roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with DATEV and SAP software is advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
- Right to work in Germany without restrictions, as visa sponsorship is not available.
