Role overview
ABM UK is looking for a proactive and detail-focused HR Administrator to support the Team Member Service Centre on a fixed-term contract. The role sits within HR operations and is centred on accurate, efficient administration across employee data, documentation, and process handling.
This opportunity suits someone who is well organised, flexible, and comfortable in a busy, process-led environment. The work will mainly support core HR activity such as onboarding, maintaining employee records, and day-to-day HR administration.
Working pattern and contract
The role is based at World Business Centre (Heathrow), Hounslow, England, United Kingdom. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Salary is listed as competitive.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with employee life-cycle administration, including new starters, leavers, and employee changes.
- Draft and send contracts, offer letters, and standard HR letters or documents.
- Handle requests for employment references and respond appropriately.
- Keep employee records and HR systems accurate, current, and well maintained.
- Monitor the HR inbox, manage incoming queries, and escalate matters when needed.
- Complete routine administrative work such as filing, scanning, document handling, and data entry.
- Work closely with HR and Payroll colleagues to maintain consistency and data quality.
- Carry out all work in line with company policy and compliance standards.
Skills and experience needed
- Strong organisational ability and confidence handling several administrative tasks at once.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, especially when entering or checking data.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Comfort in a fast-moving, structured, and process-driven setting.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred background
- Previous experience in administration or HR support would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with HR platforms such as Oracle, or similar systems, is desirable.
- Basic awareness of Right to Work checks and HR compliance processes is helpful.
- Experience handling shared inboxes or large volumes of queries is beneficial.
- Exposure to a shared services or centralised HR model would be useful.
