Job description

About the property

Mantra & The Sebel Twin Towns Hotel & Apartments are neighbouring properties on the border of the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, with views over Coolangatta Beach. The accommodation mix includes hotel-style rooms and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, along with pools for guests to enjoy. Outside of work, the area offers a relaxed Southern Gold Coast and Tweed Heads lifestyle, with beaches, pubs, clubs, restaurants, and foreshore spots nearby.

Role purpose

As a Houseperson, you will be an important part of the Housekeeping team, moving constantly to support room attendants and public area attendants. The role centres on delivering guest requests, replenishing linen and amenities supplies, collecting used linen for laundry, and helping keep operations running smoothly so guests have an enjoyable stay.

Key duties

  • Respond quickly to guest requests by delivering items such as amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and by collecting items from guest rooms when needed.
  • Work closely with the housekeeping team to make sure tasks are completed on time.
  • Collect soiled linen from guest rooms and take it to the correct designated area.
  • Support cleaning of guest rooms and public areas when required.
  • Use chemicals and cleaning products safely, respect guest privacy and security, and report maintenance concerns without delay.
  • Provide a friendly, helpful guest experience by answering questions, addressing concerns, and sharing accurate information about the property’s facilities and features.

Skills and experience

You should bring a welcoming communication style that helps guests and colleagues feel at ease. Attention to detail, strong time management, and pride in doing work well are important. This is a hands-on physical role that may involve internal and external staircases, open walkways, and pushing heavy trolleys and equipment. You should also enjoy working with people from different backgrounds.

Working requirements

Reliable transport is required, along with availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
