Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards across guest rooms, public areas, and the pool facilities. This position requires inspecting cleaned spaces to ensure they meet standards, managing room status reports, prioritizing cleaning tasks, and updating the status of rooms for departing guests.

Key Duties and Coordination

Support the Housekeeping management with daily operations including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee motivation. Serve as a critical link between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Document and resolve room discrepancies in collaboration with the Front Desk, handle room assignment updates, and provide shift-to-shift communication. Accurately complete all required documentation and paperwork.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role demands adherence to all company safety and security protocols, including maintenance reporting and completion of safety training. The supervisor is expected to maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance while protecting confidential company information and assets. Physically, the position involves moving objects up to 55 pounds independently, and heavier items with assistance. Tasks include pushing and pulling loaded carts over uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, sitting, kneeling, and walking extensively during shifts, along with the ability to manipulate small objects requiring fine motor skills. Computer and point-of-sale system proficiency for information entry and retrieval is also required.

Guest Interaction and Teamwork

The supervisor will greet guests courteously, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and communicate professionally. Fostering positive work relationships and actively listening and responding to employee concerns are also essential components of this role to maintain a cohesive work atmosphere.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.

Location: West Bay, Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time, onsite role classified as Non-Management. Safety and security policies must be strictly followed.
