Job Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards across guest rooms, hallways, and service areas in line with hotel, brand, and franchise expectations. The position also involves guiding team members, checking completed work, and supporting a smooth guest experience at the property in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Key Duties

• Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, public holidays, and changing shifts.
• Monitor the quality of cleaning in guest rooms, corridors, and back-of-house service spaces.
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping rules, safety requirements, and security procedures.
• Respond to guest concerns and help resolve complaints to support guest satisfaction.
• Keep daily work areas consistently clean and up to the required standard.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning tasks when needed.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, or houseperson tasks as required.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Supervision and Inspection

Oversee assigned Guest Room Attendants and Housepersons by training, checking, and supporting their work so that all tasks are completed according to the hotel’s standards. Provide hands-on help whenever necessary to ensure guests receive prompt and reliable service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience is required; experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with guests, managers, and colleagues.
• Understanding of safe and correct chemical handling is required.
• English/Spanish bilingual ability is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of local attractions and activities suitable for hotel guests is preferred.
