Job description
Overview
We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Housekeeping Room Attendant available for both full-time and part-time contracts at Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong. This position involves ensuring guest rooms and hotel areas are kept clean, organized, and welcoming, contributing positively to our guests' experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Ensure bathrooms are clean and well-stocked with towels, toiletries, and essential items.
- Replenish room supplies such as linens, towels, and amenities regularly.
- Identify and report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to relevant staff promptly.
- Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel including guest rooms, hallways, and common spaces.
- Use proper cleaning chemicals and equipment adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Attend to special guest requests, including arranging additional pillows, blankets, transportation, or other services.
- Support sustainable practices by managing supplies and equipment efficiently while minimizing waste and following green initiatives like recycling.
- May be responsible for the security and procedures related to lost and found items.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including possibly acting as Supervisor on duty depending on hotel needs.
