Position Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant plays an important part in the Housekeeping team and is expected to have a strong eye for detail. This role focuses on maintaining exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and presentation in guest rooms while responding to housekeeping-related guest requests.
Key Duties
- Maintain guest rooms to the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort, while following established procedures and Forbes standards.
- Deliver high-quality service to internal guests and colleagues when needed.
- Respond to guest questions and complaints politely and efficiently, and escalate concerns to the Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or Executive Housekeeper as required.
- Monitor daily cleaning chemicals and supplies, and use all cleaning products safely and correctly.
- Change guest linen daily when requested, remove soiled linen, and keep pantries, storage cupboards, and toilets clean and orderly.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Strong people skills, a pleasant manner, and the ability to work well as part of a team while building positive guest relationships.
- Basic spoken English.
- Understanding of cleaning methods, cleaning agents, and different surface types.
- Valid work rights in Australia.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
