Job description
About the property
Crystalbrook Flynn is a lively, high-energy hotel in the heart of Cairns CBD, only a short walk from the Esplanade. The property offers stylish stays, energetic dining venues, a strong social atmosphere and a guest experience built around connection and memorable moments. Facilities include 311 rooms and suites, three restaurants and bars, two glass pools, conference and event spaces, Eleme Day Spa and a 24-hour gym.
The hotel is described as fresh, vibrant and full of personality, combining modern style with tropical city living.
The opportunity
As part of the housekeeping team, you will help create rooms and spaces that influence the guest experience from arrival through to departure. The role focuses on maintaining excellent cleanliness and presentation standards across guest rooms so they feel inviting, polished and aligned with the Crystalbrook brand.
You will be trusted to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. The position suits someone who notices small details, takes ownership of their tasks and enjoys delivering calm, well-kept spaces that leave a strong impression.
What the role involves
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and room presentation in guest accommodation.
- Prepare rooms so they appear welcoming, tidy and consistent with brand standards.
- Work with independence while staying aligned with team expectations and quality standards.
- Take responsibility for spotting and addressing details that affect the guest experience.
- Contribute to a professional housekeeping environment that supports smooth daily operations.
What they are looking for
The ideal candidate takes pride in presenting spotless, well-organised spaces and brings care and reliability to the job. Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel is helpful, but it is not mandatory, as training can be provided for the right person with a genuine interest in hospitality.
Additional requirements and conditions
- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisation and time management ability is needed.
- A keen eye for detail in cleaning and room presentation is important.
- You should be comfortable delivering warm, personalised guest service.
- The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility is required to work on a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Why join Crystalbrook Collection
- 50% discount on food and beverages across Crystalbrook restaurants and bars.
- $99 room rates and a generous discount for friends and family.
- Enhanced parental leave and lifestyle benefits.
- Commitment to sustainable luxury and a greener future.
- Access to internal mobility opportunities and team reward programs.
- Online learning platforms, training resources and tailored career pathways.
- A collaborative, diverse and experience-focused workplace culture.
- Strong career growth prospects in a fast-expanding business.
- Regular service recognition and team engagement events.
