Role overview

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and shared spaces to a high cleanliness standard, while delivering polite and efficient service to guests. The role includes routine cleaning, replenishing supplies, handling guest needs, and supporting safe and well-kept operations across the property.

Key duties

• Prepare and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas in line with company expectations.
• Change beds, replace fresh linens, towels, and guest-use amenities.
• Carry out dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing tasks in assigned areas.
• Restock room amenities and alert the team when supplies are running low.
• Escalate maintenance concerns, damaged items, or possible safety risks to the supervisor.
• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner.
• Log lost-and-found items and transfer them according to company procedure.
• Use housekeeping equipment properly and keep it in safe working condition.
• Comply with infection prevention, hygiene, and health and safety requirements.
• Protect guest privacy and handle information confidentially at all times.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping within a hotel, resort, hospital, or similar setting is a plus.
• Basic familiarity with cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment is expected.
• Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions are important.
