Housekeeper - Private UHNW Residence

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and highly professional Housekeeper to join a private ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) family's household team based in Munich, Germany. This long-term, live-out role calls for an individual with a proactive attitude, strong discretion, and a hands-on approach who values maintaining exceptional cleanliness and standards in a luxury home.

Key Qualifications

• Proven professional housekeeping experience within UHNW private residences is mandatory; candidates with backgrounds in luxury yachting or five-star hotels are also welcome.
• A history of sustained employment with outstanding, verifiable references.
• Availability and flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays as needed.
• Possession of a full, clean driving license and eligibility to work in the European Union.
• Comfortable with basic IT and technology use.
• Fluency in English is required, with German language skills viewed positively.
• Non-smoker who exhibits exceptional discretion, reliability, and professionalism.
• Self-driven, proactive, able to work independently, and also cooperate effectively within a household team.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure spotless cleanliness and presentation throughout the luxury residence.
• Maintain and care for high-value furnishings, antiques, and delicate interior materials.
• Manage laundry and wardrobes expertly, including delicate textiles like silk, cashmere, and fine linens.
• Clean and upkeep specialty surfaces such as marble, granite, slate, and parquet floors.
• Prepare breakfast and occasional light, health-conscious meals when requested.
• Coordinate household contractors and service providers efficiently.
• Handle household errands including shopping, dry cleaning, postal pickups, and deliveries.
• Drive for household errands and purchases as necessary.
• Assist with table service and support during private dinners and household events.
• Perform additional household duties commensurate with experience and seniority.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will be highly organized with acute attention to detail, dedicated to upholding superior housekeeping standards. They should be adaptable, trustworthy, and comfortable working within a fully staffed private household while maintaining utmost confidentiality.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Permanent full-time appointment with a 40-hour workweek, requiring some flexibility including weekends and holidays.
• Compensatory time off during the week following weekend work.
• Occasional split shifts when the household principals are in residence.
• Part of a professional household team led by a House Manager.
• Competitive annual gross salary ranging from €45,000 to €65,000, dependent on experience.
• Includes accommodation allowance within the salary package.
• 26 days of paid annual leave.

Recruitment Procedure

• Initial video interview with recruitment agency.
• Second interview directly with the private client.
• Practical trial conducted within the household.
• Final interview with the household management team.
