Overview

This full-time housekeeping role is based on-site at a hotel in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt. The position focuses on keeping guest rooms and assigned areas clean, secure, and maintained to brand and property standards while supporting guest satisfaction throughout the stay.

Key duties

• Work across a flexible rota that may include weekends, public holidays, and changing shifts.
• Respond to guest complaints and work toward a positive resolution that supports guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality in all assigned daily tasks.
• Follow all housekeeping, room-entry, safety, and security procedures required by the property.
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms based on priority and in line with franchise and hotel standards.
• Return the housekeeping cart at the end of the shift and restock supplies as needed.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning tasks.
• Take on other duties as assigned by management.

Additional responsibilities

The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms to the hotel’s standards, escalating maintenance issues when noticed, and handling guest requests or concerns professionally. Confidentiality and security of guest rooms must be preserved at all times.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience is required; experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
• You should be able to communicate clearly with guests, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of safe chemical handling is necessary.
• English and Spanish fluency is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local attractions and activities suited to guests is beneficial.
