Belmont House is hiring a Housekeeper to support cleanliness and hygiene standards in a care-focused environment in Toronto, Ontario.

Language

English is required for this role.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Workplace and setting

This role is fully on site; the work must be carried out at the physical location with no remote option. The setting includes a health care institution, facility or clinic, as well as a retirement home.

The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and orderly spaces across the facility.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

This position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. Tasks

  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
  • Remove dust from furniture and surfaces.
  • Provide fresh towels and toiletries as needed.
  • Keep linen storage areas stocked and organized.
  • Sanitize and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Clean and disinfect elevators.
  • Respond to guests' requests for additional supplies or similar items.
  • Collect debris and empty garbage containers.
  • Wash and care for clothing and household linens.
  • Repair minor issues in clothing and linens.
  • Carry out general light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Clean changing rooms and shower areas.

Target audience
