Role Overview
As a Night Porter, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational standards through various duties including guest assistance, security support, and upkeep of hotel public areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests by handling their luggage and guiding them to their rooms
- Remain attentive at the hotel entrance to monitor activities and ensure guest safety
- Support hotel security measures as needed
- Address guest inquiries promptly and courteously
- Perform regular cleaning and inspection of restrooms and public spaces
- Manage luggage storage and related tasks
- Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout public areas
- Adhere to RIU Hotels & Resorts customer service policies
- Monitor all individuals entering and leaving the hotel premises
- Conduct routine floor inspections and check fire exits, fire stairs, and perimeter security
- Understand and comply with licensing, customs, and excise regulations
- Secure cash, stock, and equipment appropriately
- Handle lost property according to hotel policy
- Report suspicious activities immediately to the Duty Manager
- Assist in training new team members
- Maintain awareness of safety and security protocols and report any violations
- Ensure safe conditions of equipment and materials used
- Respond appropriately to incidents involving accidents, fires, loss, or damage
- Provide support to the Accommodation Department when necessary
- Check guests in and out following full training
- Offer accurate information to guests as required
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 12 months relevant experience
- Authorized to legally work at least 40 hours per week in Ireland
- Dedicated, hardworking, and reliable hospitality professional
Compensation & Benefits
- Gross annual salary ranging from €29,120 to €30,888
