About the Role
The University of Edinburgh is seeking dedicated individuals to join their hotel housekeeping team, working across The Scholar Hotel, The Scott, or KM Hotel & Apartments. This full-time permanent position involves ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of guest bedrooms and public spaces, maintaining the high standards expected within our hospitality services. The contract offers a competitive salary above industry norms and provides opportunities for career progression within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms and public areas to high standards.
- Work collaboratively within the hotel housekeeping team.
- Possibility to assist in other areas such as reception, reflecting a “one team ethos.”
- Deliver excellent customer service under the University Hospitality and Events Collection.
Candidate Attributes and Requirements
- Strong passion for delivering excellent service.
- Previous experience in hotel or similar cleaning roles.
- Meticulous attention to detail paired with a positive outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt.
Terms and Conditions
- Permanent full-time role with 35 hours per week over five days within a seven-day week including weekends.
- Location-based work requiring presence on campus.
- Salary Grade UE02: £24,547 per annum plus 5% premium for flexible working.
- Two vacancies available.
