Overview

This role as a Hostess focuses on hospitality excellence within front-of-house food and beverage services catering to international travelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests and make a positive first impression by greeting and seating them promptly with a friendly demeanor and positive body language.
• Manage reservations and dining bookings both in advance and upon guest arrival, escorting guests to their tables and keeping track of guest seating availability.
• Communicate wait times effectively to guests; maintain and coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure readiness for guest arrivals.
• Regularly inspect and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of dining spaces and menus' presentation as per company standards.
• Collect guest feedback using comment cards and relay information to management for continuous service enhancement.
• Field telephone inquiries regarding menus and restaurant services, providing accurate and prompt responses.
• Monitor dining tables to keep track of their status (clean, dirty, occupied) and be available at all times as the main point of contact for guest assistance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airport facilities and services to assist guests effectively with queries.
• Maintain communication across departments to facilitate seamless service delivery.
• Deliver consistently professional, engaging, and warm hospitality service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Comply with health, safety, grooming and professional appearance standards consistently.
• Perform additional department-related tasks as assigned by the department head, including handling take-away orders where applicable.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum education level of high school completion.
• At least two years of relevant customer service experience, preferably in a similar hostess or front-of-house food & beverage role.
• Strong attentive listening skills and ability to respond promptly to demanding guest requirements.
• Capacity to perform well under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated team working abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods during shifts.
• Efficient multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and maintain composure in busy settings.
