About the Role
Based at NTR High School in Challapalli, this position requires managing the daily operations of the girls' hostel, ensuring the safety, discipline, hygiene, and overall welfare of the resident students. The warden serves as a caretaker, counselor, and mentor, maintaining continuous communication with both parents and school officials.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety, security, and discipline of all girls residing in the hostel.
- Manage daily schedules including wake-up times, meal hours, study periods, and bedtime routines.
- Address student concerns with understanding and provide counseling support as needed.
- Maintain records for hostel attendance, leaves, and health-related matters of students.
- Oversee the upkeep and functionality of hostel infrastructure such as rooms, furniture, restrooms, and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate timely provision of food, drinking water, and essential supplies.
- Monitor health conditions of students and liaise with medical personnel during emergencies.
- Promote hygiene, discipline, and positive practices among the students.
- Manage first-aid resources and attend to minor health needs.
- Serve as the communication bridge between school management, parents, and students regarding important updates including health issues, discipline, or special requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- An undergraduate degree in any field; qualifications in Social Work or related disciplines are preferred.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience functioning as a hostel warden or caretaker within a school setting is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
- Leadership capabilities and strong organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and disciplined persona.
- Capability to effectively supervise and manage adolescent students.
