Job description

About the company

Landing has been building a nationwide flexible living network since 2019, now spanning more than 35 markets and thousands of apartments. The model is designed to remove common moving hassles such as deposits and complicated processes, and the business operates in a fast-changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Role overview

This position is focused on owning a market segment in the Columbus, Ohio area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day health of a group of properties, including member experience, relationships with property partners, housekeeping vendors, maintenance coordination, and unit quality. The role also involves managing reservations coming through Landing’s platform and external OTA channels such as Airbnb and Booking.com, handling member concerns across multiple channels, and sharing market performance updates with the Hub Manager.

The company is looking for someone with experience in hotel operations, short-term rental portfolios, or another high-volume hospitality setting. The scope is broader than managing a single property because you will oversee an entire segment of the market while helping shape processes in a growing organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle reservations across direct and partner channels, including Landing bookings and OTA platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com.
  • Manage the member journey from reservation through checkout, including tickets, questions, and escalations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with property partners and housekeeping vendors.
  • Track and influence market metrics such as NPS, CSAT, cleaning quality, and growth.
  • Coordinate reservations and escalate maintenance issues with property management teams.
  • Support the onboarding, installation, and launch of new properties within the assigned market segment.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate should come from hotel operations, vacation rental management, short-term rental portfolio management, or a similarly busy hospitality environment. Prior experience with real autonomy over a market, property, or operational area is important, along with strong follow-through, solid organization, and the ability to prioritize when several urgent issues come up at the same time. Comfort working without a fully defined playbook is also essential.

Working hours and availability

Standard business hours for the role are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Because this is a guest-facing position, additional coverage may be needed in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays depending on business demand. Availability can increase during busy periods such as month-end and times with high check-in volume.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range is $55,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, and the role includes a performance bonus of up to 20% of base pay. An annual vehicle and cell stipend of $6,600 is also provided.

  • Opportunities for advancement, with field operations leadership often growing through internal promotion.
  • Stock options.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, mental health, pet, commuter, and FSA or HSA benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement plan plus access to ImmediatePay.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Annual travel benefit worth $750 in Landing Stays.

Equal opportunity statement

The employer is committed to equal opportunity and considers all qualified applicants without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or related conditions, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military service or obligation, or any other legally protected status.
