About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable (AR) Caller specializing in hospital billing to join our team. This role involves proactively following up on unpaid or denied healthcare claims with insurance providers to ensure prompt reimbursements. You will be a key part of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), working to decrease outstanding balances and resolve billing issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact US healthcare insurance payers to inquire about the status of pending hospital and institutional claims.
- Analyze and investigate reasons behind denied or underpaid claims, identifying corrective measures.
- Prepare and resubmit corrected claims, including drafting appeals and revised letters for denials.
- Maintain accurate records by updating claim statuses, billing summaries, and financial data within Electronic Health Records (EHR) and hospital billing software.
- Stay informed about payer-specific requirements, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and UB-04 billing forms to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1 to 4 years of voice process experience in US Healthcare RCM, particularly in hospital billing.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills for effective negotiation with insurance representatives.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of healthcare data.
- Capability to achieve daily and monthly KPIs related to collections, call volumes, and quality standards.
