Position Summary
The Administrator oversees the agency's overall operations, regulatory compliance, and administrative functions. Responsibilities include managing caregiver staffing, client intake, quality control, and ensuring all Florida AHCA licensing standards are met while cultivating a culture focused on accountability and empathetic care.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the official AHCA Administrator to guarantee adherence to Florida home care licensing regulations.
- Direct daily operations, such as caregiver scheduling, client onboarding, and service coordination.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise caregivers and administrative personnel.
- Maintain and revise agency policies, procedures, and necessary documentation for licensure renewals and inspections.
- Handle relationships with clients and caregivers, resolving concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Oversee quality assurance, including monitoring caregiver performance and client care plans.
- Ensure timely upkeep of personnel files, background checks, and mandatory certifications.
- Collaborate with franchise support teams to align local operations with brand standards.
- Assist business development by cultivating referral partnerships with healthcare providers, senior living communities, and discharge planners.
- Manage budgets, billing processes, and basic financial reporting for the agency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related discipline preferred.
- Previous experience in home care, home health, or related healthcare services is required; management or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Florida AHCA licensing requirements for non-medical home care agencies.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for building trust with clients, families, and caregivers.
- Proficient with scheduling and case management software; general computing skills required.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation necessary.
- Ability to successfully pass a Level 2 background screening.
