Role Summary
We are currently looking for a Home Orientation Representative. This role involves scheduling and conducting pre-closing inspections for newly constructed homes, assessing and documenting any deficiencies per the Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines and Ontario Building Code. The candidate will lead pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) with homeowners and construction teams, oversee deficiency resolution, and support various communities including Breslau, Caledonia, and Brantford. The position is a full-time, onsite role, filling a replacement vacancy.
Daily Responsibilities
- Coordinate inspection appointments with homeowners aligned with construction closing schedules.
- Maintain detailed reports including spreadsheets and internal aging documentation.
- Communicate with homeowners and internal departments through email.
- Prepare on-site files and packages with necessary printed documentation such as site files and CCPs.
- Manage the coordination and completion of PDI deficiency items.
- Conduct exterior site audits to ensure quality standards.
- Assist onsite administrative personnel as required.
- Facilitate follow-up orientations on home operations after closing.
- Travel between various job sites and offices as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a college degree or diploma in a related area.
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience; familiarity with Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines and Ontario Building Code is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, with capacity to learn new software.
- Customer service experience is considered a plus.
- Valid "G" class driver's license is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually, also eligible for participation in a short-term incentive program. Salary will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, geographical location, and market factors.
