About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous Home Inspector specialized in building and seepage inspections to conduct thorough examinations of residential and commercial properties throughout Bangalore. The candidate will assess structural issues, leakage and seepage problems, and other building defects using advanced diagnostic tools such as thermal cameras and moisture meters.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of various property types including villas, apartments, and offices.
- Detect and identify defects like seepage, water leakage, structural cracks, dampness, and finishing irregularities.
- Utilize thermal imaging and moisture detection equipment to uncover hidden moisture and water infiltration.
- Deploy inspection devices such as moisture meters and borescopes for precise evaluation.
- Prepare detailed and professional reports containing observations, photographic evidence, and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally to clients on-site.
- Help determine underlying causes of defects and advise on suitable remedial measures.
- Adhere to established inspection procedures and maintain accurate documentation standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree holder in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in construction, site supervision, waterproofing, or property inspection.
- Strong understanding of building construction techniques, waterproofing solutions, and material properties.
- Capability to detect seepage, leakage, and structural damage efficiently.
- Preferably familiar with thermal cameras and moisture meter tools.
- Excellent report writing and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Bangalore for site inspections.
Preferred Competencies
- Hands-on experience with waterproofing and fault diagnosis methods.
- Knowledge of building codes and compliance standards.
- Practical usage of specialized inspection tools and testing equipment.
