Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Care Worker to join our team in Edmonton, AB. This role involves providing a variety of supportive care services in clients' homes to improve their quality of life and assist with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing attentive care for pets as part of household duties
- Offering bedside and personal care including assistance with bathing and hygiene
- Administering prescribed medications appropriately
- Supporting clients during activities in water, such as in a pool
- Promoting and assisting with routine physical exercise, such as walking
- Managing household responsibilities when the householder is absent
- Changing non-sterile dressings and collecting medical specimens
- Assisting clients with feeding and meal preparation including serving nutritious food
- Laundering and mending clothing and household linens
- Carrying out light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
Education and Experience
The candidate should have completed a college, CEGEP, or equivalent program lasting 1 to 2 years, or have equivalent practical experience. A minimum of one year and less than two years of relevant experience is required.
