Overview
We are looking for a home child care provider to support children in a private household setting in Etobicoke, Ontario. This role focuses on daily care, safety, healthy routines, and age-appropriate support for infants and children.
Language
English is required for this position.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Applicants should have between 1 and less than 7 months of relevant experience.
Work Location
This is an on-site role and must be performed at the employer's home. Remote work is not available.
Work Setting
The position is based in a private residence.
Responsibilities
The child care provider will be expected to manage day-to-day supervision and support for children, maintain a safe and healthy home environment, and assist with routines, meals, and activities.
Tasks
- Carry out light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Wash, dress, and feed infants and children.
- Teach children about personal hygiene and social development.
- Keep the home environment safe and healthy.
- Plan and arrange games, outings, and other children’s activities.
- Cook and serve nutritious meals.
- Prepare infants and children for naps and rest periods.
- Provide attentive care and supervision for children.
- Support children’s emotional well-being.
- Assist children with homework.
- Prepare meals and cook as needed.
