About the role
Help at Home is looking to bring new caregivers on board immediately in the Scranton community, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible hires. This position offers a chance to support older adults in their homes and make a direct difference in someone’s daily life.

What you will do
As a Home Care Aide, you will work one-on-one with clients in their homes and help them with everyday tasks and personal support.
- Perform light household duties such as tidying, laundry, organizing, and basic cleaning
- Assist with personal care needs, including dressing, grooming, and meal support
- Handle errands, shopping for groceries, and accompanying clients to appointments when needed
Eligibility requirements
- A valid driver’s license or state ID is required
- Reliable transportation must be available
- Prior experience is not required, though applicants with CNA certification are encouraged to apply
- Applicants should be committed to ongoing professional development and any organizational or state-mandated training
- Candidates must meet state background screening requirements
Bonus and payout details
The $1,000 sign-on bonus applies to eligible applicants effective January 1, 2025. It is paid in two parts: $500 after 500 hours worked and another $500 after 1,000 hours worked. To qualify, the caregiver must remain active when each payment is made and maintain at least an 85% electronic visit verification rate. Payments are issued within 30 days of meeting eligibility. New hires and former caregivers who have not worked for Help at Home within the past year may qualify. Transfers from another company within the Help at Home, LLC portfolio are not eligible.
