Job Overview

The Kita Freytagstr, located at Freytagstraße 14, 30169 Hannover, is seeking a qualified Heilpädagoge/in or Heilerziehungspfleger/in for a fixed-term position serving as parental leave coverage until September 11, 2028. The role involves contributing to inclusive educational work and integration within an open-concept pedagogical framework centered on the situational approach.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing pedagogical activities based on the situational approach focusing on children’s development within an open concept.
  • Supporting and promoting children's individual developmental processes.
  • Collaborating closely with parents, including organizing and conducting developmental and support discussions for children requiring additional aid.
  • Preparing development and funding plans, along with reports for cost bearers.
  • Cooperating with local community institutions, healthcare providers, therapists, schools, child protective services, and other organizations.
  • Participating in team meetings at both group and organizational levels.
  • Engaging in quality development processes and managing associated documentation linked to project work.

Working Hours

The position offers 32 hours of work per week.

Candidate Requirements

  • Practical experience using the Early Excellence observation system.
  • Knowledge and application of the situational approach, including documentation skills.

  • Experience in special education work with children with disabilities and the autonomous preparation of developmental and final reports.
