Hedge Fund Investment Analyst - Industrials

Overview

Our client is a renowned global hedge fund managing $25 billion in assets with a diverse multi-strategy, multi-manager approach and over two decades of successful investing. They seek a skilled Investment Analyst to become a vital contributor to their highly reputed Industrials Investing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough fundamental research on publicly listed industrial companies, scrutinizing financial statements, sector trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Construct detailed valuation models using different approaches such as Discounted Cash Flows (DCF), comparable company analysis, and Net Asset Value (NAV) to estimate intrinsic stock worth.
• Monitor macroeconomic shifts, interest rate movements, and industry news that may influence industrial equities, delivering actionable insights to guide investment choices.
• Generate and present data-backed investment ideas specific to the industrial sector, supporting the portfolio management process and alpha creation.

Qualifications

• Between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in equity research or investment banking environments.
• Skilled in advanced corporate financial modeling techniques.
• Strong academic background with at least a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in finance, economics, mathematics, or related fields.
• Proven capability in conducting deep-dive research, thorough due diligence, and preparing polished investment documentation for clients.
• Exceptional attention to detail paired with high quantitative analytical skills.
