Swan Global is hiring experienced HVAC technicians for a 6-month contract in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on hands-on work across a range of air-conditioning and ventilation equipment in a busy site setting. Candidates should be comfortable with troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation tasks, along with rotational shifts and changing site demands.

Core duties

• Set up, assemble, and commission HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, and ventilation systems.
• Check that each component is positioned, aligned, and connected correctly in line with manufacturer guidance and safety requirements.
• Carry out planned and corrective maintenance to keep HVAC assets operating efficiently.
• Perform regular inspections, cleaning, filter changes, and lubrication work as required.
• Track system performance and identify warning signs before they lead to equipment failure.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults in HVAC systems.
• Complete repairs promptly to reduce disruption and keep systems running.
• Replace faulty parts, components, and wiring when needed.
• Follow HSE rules, PPE standards, and all site safety procedures without exception.
• Work in accordance with client safety rules and relevant industry standards.
• Keep clear records of maintenance, fault-finding, and repair work.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should have practical field experience as an HVAC technician with direct exposure to chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, and ventilation systems. A background of 2 to 4 years in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair is required. A Diploma or ITI in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering is expected, and additional trade certification or vocational training in HVAC is an advantage. The role also calls for solid knowledge of HVAC components and controls, confidence in reading manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and familiarity with refrigerants, compressors, motors, and electrical systems. Strong English communication, problem-solving ability, independent working skills, teamwork, and willingness to work rotational shifts and longer hours are important.

Working conditions

This is an onsite contractual assignment based in Doha. The position involves a fast-paced site environment, rotational shifts, and the possibility of extended working hours depending on site needs.
