  • Manage IT systems, data governance, and external technology partnerships to ensure dependable, secure operations.
  • Create and refine policies, workflows, and operational best practices in cooperation with internal teams.
  • Handle risk management, business insurance, regulatory compliance, and liaison with external advisors and service providers.
  • Oversee contract management, procurement, vendor relations, and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person organizational meetings and events.
  • Administer employee benefits and related employment processes through partnerships with external administrators.
  • Supervise and guide operations staff to effectively meet organizational objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally to implement operational improvements that support scalability and remote workforce efficiency.

Professional Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 7 years in nonprofit operations and compliance management.
  • Proficient in overseeing operational systems, contracts, vendor management, procurement, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit regulatory requirements, policies, and operational risk management.
  • Experience managing technology platforms, data security, and IT-related operations.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, handling multiple priorities and coordinating diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously with sound judgment in a remote setting.
  • Preferred experience leading teams and working in nonprofit grantmaking, philanthropy, intermediary, or startup sectors.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, video conferencing, CRM tools, and virtual operations platforms is desirable.
  • Additional experience with benefits administration, PEO interactions, event management, and vendor relations is advantageous.
  • Committed to inclusivity and capable of collaborating effectively with diverse individuals.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range between $127,500 and $150,000.
  • Opportunity for fully remote work within the US.
  • Employer-covered health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
  • Retirement plan featuring a 3% automatic employer contribution plus matching up to 3%.
  • Paid time off including vacation, health leave, casual leave, volunteer leave, and 13 paid holidays yearly.
  • Paid family and medical leave following eligibility.
  • Pre-tax transportation benefits.
  • Chance to establish and influence a new operational leadership role in a mission-focused organization.
  • A collaborative environment centered around meaningful social impact.
