Role overview
This position sits within the food and beverage and culinary area and supports back-of-house operations at a luxury hotel property in Ummahat Islands 2-3, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, non-management role and is not remote.
What you will do
The utility cleaner plays an important part in helping several hotel departments function smoothly. In this role, you may rotate across areas such as the kitchen, food and beverage service, and laundry to assist with cleanliness and operational support. Duties can include getting clean linens and tableware ready for guest use, operating and caring for cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, washers, and dryers, and moving linens and dishes throughout the property to keep daily operations running.
You will also be expected to maintain a safe workplace, follow company policies and procedures, uphold quality standards, and present yourself professionally in terms of uniform, grooming, and communication. The role calls for building positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments, supporting the team in reaching shared goals, and responding appropriately to coworker concerns. Any accidents, damage, or unsafe conditions must be reported to a manager.
This job requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items weighing under 50 pounds without assistance. The position involves being on your feet for long periods, with regular standing, sitting, and walking, as well as bending, kneeling, twisting, stretching, and stooping. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
Desired qualifications
No high school diploma or GED-equivalent certification is required. Previous related work experience is not necessary, and no prior supervisory experience is needed. No license or certification is required for this role.
