This remote contract position is centered on reviewing healthcare AI systems to confirm that they are clinically sound, compliant with regulations, and suitable for use in real-world settings. The work calls for strong domain knowledge across healthcare delivery, clinical processes, and regulatory expectations to help assess and improve AI models before they are deployed. The role contributes directly to patient safety, better operations, and the overall trustworthiness of healthcare technology.
Key responsibilities
- Examine healthcare AI models for clinical usefulness, data quality, and alignment with medical standards.
- Check model outputs against recognized healthcare rules and industry benchmarks to verify accuracy.
- Work with cross-functional teams to spot performance gaps and suggest practical improvements.
- Share detailed observations on model weaknesses, unusual scenarios, and possible bias in healthcare use cases.
- Record evaluation results and help prepare reports that support model iteration and regulatory documentation.
Required background
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in healthcare systems, clinical operations, or health informatics.
- Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, FDA guidance for medical AI, or similar standards.
- Capability to understand clinical datasets, medical coding and terminology such as ICD-10 and SNOMED CT, and AI-generated outputs.
- Strong analytical ability, especially when assessing AI models in healthcare or related fields.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills for explaining technical findings to non-technical audiences.
