This contract opportunity is for a healthcare subject-matter expert who will help improve AI model quality by reviewing outputs, shaping evaluation standards, and providing expert feedback. The assignment is project-based and part-time, with remote participation available to U.S.-based experts only. It is not a full-time employee role.

Project summary

The engagement supports an AI benchmarking framework used to measure how well AI systems handle practical, economically valuable knowledge work. In this case, the benchmark centers on healthcare tasks performed across clinical, administrative, operational, quality, regulatory, and patient-care settings.

Contributors will draft benchmark answers, establish evaluation standards, and judge AI-generated work across many healthcare situations. Example scenarios include clinical note review, care coordination planning, healthcare operations analysis, quality improvement work, utilization review, policy interpretation, patient communication review, compliance assessment, population health planning, and decision-support workflows. The objective is to create expert-level criteria for evaluating AI performance on real healthcare work.

Engagement terms

This is a consultant-style, project-based arrangement. Payment is handled per project, while the stated hourly rate is only an estimate based on expected completion time. Contractors manage their own schedule, supply their own tools, and may also work with other clients or employers if permitted by those arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Build expert benchmark answers for healthcare-related work scenarios.
• Design scoring rubrics that define what strong healthcare reasoning, documentation, communication, and decision-making look like.
• Review AI-generated analysis, recommendations, care-related content, and operational deliverables against the benchmark criteria.
• Judge outputs for accuracy, completeness, clinical suitability, operational usefulness, and overall professional quality.
• Evaluate AI work related to patient workflows, healthcare administration, quality improvement, care coordination, utilization management, compliance, and clinical documentation.
• Spot factual mistakes, clinical issues, unsupported advice, workflow problems, patient-safety risks, and missing information.
• Use professional judgment to determine whether outputs match real-world healthcare expectations and best practices.
• Write clear rationales that support scoring choices and evaluation decisions.
• Take part in calibration and quality review sessions when needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in one or more healthcare fields such as medicine, nursing, advanced practice nursing, physician assistant practice, rehabilitation therapy, healthcare administration, care management, population health, clinical operations, utilization management, quality and patient safety, health information management, public health, healthcare compliance, or case management.
• An active healthcare license, certification, registration, or other credential is preferred when relevant.
• Strong familiarity with healthcare workflows, patient care processes, regulations, quality requirements, and professional practice standards.
• Background in reviewing, creating, or assessing clinical documentation, care plans, operational workflows, healthcare policies, quality programs, or patient-facing communication.
• Ability to analyze complex healthcare situations and explain professional judgment clearly in writing.
• Strong detail orientation and the ability to recognize clinical inaccuracies, patient-safety concerns, process issues, and compliance risks.
• Experience in hospitals, health systems, clinics, payer organizations, rehabilitation settings, public health organizations, or healthcare consulting is preferred.
• Relevant credentials are preferred where applicable, such as MD, DO, RN, NP, PA-C, PT, OT, SLP, RHIA, CPHQ, CCM, CHC, FACHE, or similar.
• Must be based in the United States.
