About the Role
Danone MENA seeks a skilled Healthcare Nutrition Specialist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In the Specialized Nutrition division for the Middle East, you will drive the market share for specialized nutrition brands within your designated area while establishing and nurturing meaningful, science-based connections with healthcare professionals (HCPs). Your focus will be on fulfilling HCPs' nutritional needs and ensuring their loyalty by advocating for the company’s healthcare nutrition offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Influence healthcare professionals' perspectives and behaviors towards nutrition solutions.
- Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and private practices to build strong scientifically grounded relationships and position Danone's healthcare nutrition as the preferred option.
- Deliver accurate messaging, clinical information, and scientific studies to doctors, HCPs, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Clearly communicate the benefits of nutrition solutions using scientific audio-visual presentations.
- Manage the assigned geographical area by identifying business opportunities and developing strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a disciplined weekly call cycle in coordination with the direct manager.
- Monitor competitors’ actions and recommend countermeasures to protect market share.
- Stay thoroughly knowledgeable about products, able to answer all HCP inquiries confidently.
- Address customer queries and complaints promptly.
- Review business plans quarterly against objectives with the Head of KSA.
- Prepare and submit reports on promotional activities following standardized formats and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with WHO and local codes of ethics regarding infant formula marketing.
- Organize and conduct educational seminars and nutrition detailing activities.
- Maintain daily database management and adhere to administrative processes.
- Achieve qualitative and quantitative KPIs daily, monthly, and annually for the assigned territory.
- Participate actively in meetings to evaluate market challenges, progress versus KPIs, and support seminar/event execution.
- Gather intelligence on healthcare professionals and competitor activities, updating internal databases accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted HCPs and understand decision-making networks.
- Report on call visits and progress toward objectives regularly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Dietetics.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience in the nutrition sector and with primary healthcare centers is advantageous.
