Job description
About the Role
MedElite is working to improve healthcare delivery by combining clinical support with data-informed decision-making. The team is looking for a technically strong and creatively inclined intern to help automate reporting, improve QA analytics, and build polished outputs that are useful for business and operations teams.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting fragmented data sources, reducing repetitive manual work, and turning complex information into clear, executive-friendly reports.
Position Details
- Pay: $25 per hour
- Work mode: In person, five days a week
- Location: Brooklyn, New York
- Open to: Currently enrolled undergraduate and master’s students
- Reports to: Head of Product and AI Strategy
What You’ll Do
You’ll work at the crossroads of data engineering and business operations, gathering needs from internal stakeholders and converting them into automated reporting solutions. The main focus will be connecting multiple data sources, streamlining QA reporting, and generating clean PDF outputs that can be used across the organization.
- Build automated workflows that pull from multiple data sources and produce executive-ready PDF reports.
- Improve and automate QA and compliance reporting so clinical and operational standards are tracked accurately.
- Support healthcare analytics work, including specialty quality reporting, patient data management, and TD facility assessments.
- Develop the data logic behind provider and clinician performance scorecards used to measure operational results.
- Use Python to remove repetitive manual tasks and replace them with automated scripts.
- Work with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical automation solutions.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is analytical, practical, and creative in how they approach data. You should be comfortable working with large, messy datasets, building integrations, and communicating clearly with non-technical teammates.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or MBA in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Strong command of SQL and/or Google BigQuery, including the ability to combine complex datasets.
- Hands-on Python experience for data manipulation and creating PDF or document outputs.
- Familiarity with data APIs, or a clear willingness to learn how to work with them.
- Comfort navigating public datasets and structured schemas.
- Strong analytical thinking paired with an eye for how data will be used in practice.
- Ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and turn their needs into working solutions.
What You’ll Gain
- Ownership of real projects that influence patient care and facility efficiency.
- Guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals in data and healthcare.
- A fast-moving, collaborative environment where your ideas can become production-ready tools.
