Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview

A leading logistics company in Germany is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer/Analyst to drive reliable reporting and analytics solutions supporting internal teams. In this position, you will collaborate closely with various business stakeholders to identify operational needs and transform them into scalable Power BI solutions with high data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect reporting specifications from business users and convert them into effective BI deliverables.
• Create and manage gold-layer datasets alongside semantic data models to ensure robust analytics foundations.
• Craft advanced DAX calculations and generate fully operational Power BI reports for production use.
• Leverage SQL skills to manipulate, analyse, and validate datasets.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for Power BI solutions, from initial gathering of requirements through deployment and continuous enhancement.
• Maintain consistency of key performance indicators and ensure excellent data quality in logistics-focused reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise in Power BI platform with advanced competency in DAX formula writing.
• Strong command of SQL and familiarity with Azure cloud data ecosystems.
• Experience in building gold-layer datasets and semantic models is essential.
• Demonstrated ownership of Power BI reports throughout their lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective stakeholder management.
• Background in logistics, supply chain, or operational analytics will be advantageous.
• Fluency in German language is mandatory for this role.
