About the company
The employer is a rapidly expanding, internationally oriented business with several legal entities operating as part of a fast-moving corporate group. The finance team is looking for a Group Accountant who will help shape group accounting processes and support the financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired companies.
Role overview
In this position, you will contribute to group reporting and accounting activities across multiple entities. The role is based in Germany and can be performed fully remotely, with up to 100% remote work possible within Germany.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual entities.
- Support the preparation of consolidated group financial statements.
- Handle and coordinate intercompany reconciliations.
- Help implement and ensure compliance with group-wide accounting policies.
- Introduce and further develop accounting standards across the corporate group.
- Support post-merger integration projects in the finance function.
- Act as a contact point for accounting teams, tax advisers, and auditors.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting and finance processes.
Profile and qualifications
The ideal candidate has a completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, or has completed further training as an (International) Certified Accountant. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting is required.
Several years of experience in accounting are expected. Experience in a group structure or group accounting environment is an advantage, and prior involvement in company integrations or M&A projects is desirable.
Technical knowledge should include confident use of DATEV. Experience with LucaNet is required or highly desirable. Good knowledge of the relevant accounting standards is also important, along with strong numerical aptitude and solid analytical thinking.
