Role Overview
The Healthcare Curriculum and Instruction Specialist is tasked with creating, refining, and sustaining culturally appropriate educational content that adheres to International Baccalaureate (IB) standards and healthcare sector benchmarks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design instructional materials and develop resources to support healthcare curricula.
- Provide guidance and professional development to educators to assist with curriculum implementation.
- Ensure continuity and alignment of curriculum content across different grade levels.
- Integrate healthcare career exploration and practical learning opportunities within the curriculum.
- Perform classroom observations and analyze student achievement data to enhance instructional techniques and assessments.
- Oversee healthcare-related projects, coordinate industry certification evaluations, and promote student engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, or healthcare education is essential.
- Familiarity with best instructional practices and competence with educational technology tools.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.
- Capability to lead professional development sessions and collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and students.
Additional Information
- Must be willing to travel among multiple campuses.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend activities is required.
- Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting and the ability to perform light lifting.
