About the Role
Bluebird Care Dublin Northeast is actively seeking compassionate, dependable, and committed Healthcare Assistants to join our expanding home care team serving the Dublin 3, 5, 17, and 13 areas. We offer permanent contracts with a preference for full-time availability. Please note that visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and safe transfers.
- Prepare meals and support feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional encouragement.
- Offer medication reminders and perform light housekeeping duties.
- Maintain precise care documentation.
- Encourage client independence while preserving dignity.
- Travel to clients’ homes during shifts as required.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates will operate within community settings, traveling between clients' residences in the specified Dublin regions.
- Residence within Dublin 3, 5, 17, or 13 areas is essential.
- Possession of a full Irish driving licence and personal vehicle is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Ireland; visa sponsorship is not provided.
- Availability to work at a minimum every alternate weekend.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Completion of at least two QQI Level 5 modules, specifically in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
- Prior experience in a care setting, either professional or personal.
- A caring disposition coupled with willingness to undertake required QQI training.
