The Role
This part-time permanent position sits within the clinic team and supports specialist nurses in delivering patient care across the fertility pathway. The role combines hands-on clinical support with administrative duties, covering everything from early investigations through to treatment follow-up and event support after procedures.
The post also requires a practical, organised individual who can help with treatment coordination, documentation, theatre support, and phlebotomy while ensuring compliance with required regulations and standards.
Key Duties
- Provide dependable support in delivering high-quality care that meets patient needs.
- Work under guidance to build skills in counselling, instruction, and care for couples throughout treatment.
- Assist across clinical areas, including theatre and recovery.
- Carry out phlebotomy tasks.
- Communicate with patients in person, by phone, and by email.
- Prepare patient and group paperwork accurately and within required timelines.
- Help with theatre operations and post-procedure recovery support.
- Complete administration linked to patient treatment cycles and support nursing staff as needed.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant.
- Comfort using IT systems and digital tools.
- Genuine interest in women’s health.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a fertility clinic or outpatient setting is an advantage.
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
Work Pattern and Location
The role is based at TFP GCRM Fertility in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. It is a permanent part-time position of 20 hours per week, typically spread across 3 to 5 days. Weekend work is expected approximately one in four weekends.
The clinic is located in a business park on the outskirts of Glasgow near junction 25 of the M8, with free parking available for staff and patients.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is competitive and depends on experience. Benefits include a dual-contribution pension scheme and 27 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
Clinic Background
GCRM was established in 2006 and is Scotland’s only private IVF clinic. The clinic has expanded significantly and now carries out around 800 fresh cycles and 700 frozen cycles annually, offering a wide range of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT.
