Role overview
Millennium Services Group is looking for a proactive and motivated Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to support its team. This position works closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to strengthen safety culture, ensure workplace health and safety compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement across health and safety practices.
Key responsibilities
- Offer practical health, safety, and wellbeing guidance to relevant state or territory business units in a way that is collaborative, engaging, and suited to the audience.
- Assess incidents, hazards, and near misses and determine the appropriate level of investigation based on risk.
- Design individualised return-to-work plans together with injured employees, medical professionals, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with insurers, WorkSafe, and internal stakeholders to support a smooth and timely return to pre-injury duties.
- Take part in medical case conferences and help drive early interventions that support recovery and lower costs.
- Advise managers on injury prevention, reasonable workplace adjustments, and safe return-to-work approaches, including for non-work-related conditions.
- Keep claims and injury management records accurate and compliant, while staying current with legislative updates.
- Build capability in supervisors and account managers so they can support employees effectively during recovery.
- Monitor progress, produce reports, and use findings to improve workplace safety outcomes.
- Support preventative activities such as training, risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to reduce injury risks.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisory role and can work effectively with different stakeholders. A minimum Certificate IV in WH&S or a Diploma is preferred. Completion of a Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) course is also required or strongly preferred as stated.
