Role Overview

This contract position is for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer based in Cork, working with ESB. The role involves managing daily workplace safety operations, ensuring adherence to safety laws and standards, conducting risk assessments to foster a secure working atmosphere, participating in incident investigations, maintaining health and safety records, and recommending improvements to safety procedures.

Key Qualifications

• Expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and general workplace safety protocols
• Strong knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory frameworks and procedures
• Possession of a Level 8 diploma or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety
• Experience with OHSAS / ISO 45001 system management support
• Demonstrated competence in performing risk assessments and managing safety compliance audits
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Skill in identifying safety deficiencies and implementing effective corrective actions
• Availability for a contract assignment of approximately five months
