Health Safety Environment Officer

About the Role

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is seeking a dedicated Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer to join their HSE team on a major large-scale project based in Dubai. The position involves leading efforts to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support initiatives that promote workplace health and safety for staff and visitors.
• Emphasize the importance of HSE by developing action plans and implementing best practice procedures for ongoing improvement.
• Oversee the execution of Health & Safety procedures across the project sites.
• Conduct training sessions to familiarize staff with relevant policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Review and update health and safety procedures regularly to keep them current.
• Perform routine internal audits to verify compliance with established safety protocols.
• Engage with clients to communicate and clarify internal HSE procedures.
• Provide feedback on OH&S manuals and statements submitted by contractors.
• Manage the HSE team by assigning inspection schedules and training to ensure effective safety oversight.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all incidents and accidents, issuing non-conformance notices when necessary.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or Engineering.
• At least five years of proven experience working on high-rise construction projects.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
