Health Care Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and energetic Health Care Assistants to join Pathways care home in Sutton-in-Ashfield. As a Health Care Assistant, you will support adults with complex care needs, helping them maintain their daily routines and live fulfilling lives. This role requires working full-time on flexible 12-hour shifts, both days and nights, with a rate starting at 3.21 per hour, increasing to 3.31 after completing the Exemplar care certificate. The care home is rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with their daily personal care and routines
• Assisting residents during meal times
• Understanding and addressing individual health and well-being requirements
• Encouraging and facilitating participation in social activities inside and outside the home
• Promoting the values of choice, dignity, independence, and respect
• Accurately completing and updating care documentation

About You

Applicants should have at least six months of experience in a care environment, although formal qualifications are not mandatory. Candidates should embody the Exemplar Health Care values: fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork. Personal qualities such as kindness, patience, an ability to manage challenging situations calmly, enthusiasm, effective communication, and listening skills are essential.
