Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Health and Safety Officer to support a residential construction project in Dublin City Centre. The role focuses on maintaining strong safety standards across site operations, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting a safe working environment for everyone on site.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is €65,000 to €80,000, plus an additional package.
What the Role Involves
The officer will help put safety systems into practice, carry out regular inspections, oversee risk control measures, and respond to incidents effectively. The role also includes leading safety briefings, monitoring permit activity, and keeping detailed records for reporting purposes.
Key Duties
- Complete routine site inspections, hazard checks, risk assessments, and weekly audits to identify and address safety issues.
- Run site inductions, deliver daily and weekly toolbox talks, and help organise relevant safety training.
- Handle accident and incident reporting, and investigate events and near misses to reduce the chance of repeat problems.
- Apply site rules, check that PPE is being used correctly, and track permits for higher-risk work activities.
- Keep accurate safety documentation and submit daily and weekly EHS reports to the Safety Director or Manager.
