Health and Safety Manager - Industrial Roofing and Cladding

About the Role

We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager specializing in Industrial Roofing and Cladding to work remotely with site visits across the UK. The successful candidate will oversee health and safety for various refurbishments such as felts, liquid systems, flat roofing, single ply membranes, and industrial cladding solutions. This leadership role includes shaping and implementing a company-wide safety strategy, ensuring legislative compliance, and enhancing health and safety systems and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Health & Safety initiatives across all company service centres and divisions involved in roofing and cladding projects.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting ongoing system improvements.
• Advise senior management including the Managing Director and Board members on risk management, compliance, and strategic health and safety direction.
• Perform site inspections, monitor safety performance indicators, and manage incident investigations with effective corrective actions.
• Drive a positive health and safety culture by engaging with employees, subcontractors, and clients through training and collaboration.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior Health and Safety Manager within the construction sector, preferably related to roofing and cladding.
• NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level 6 Health & Safety qualification is mandatory.
• Membership of IOSH at Chartered level (CMIOSH) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in conducting audits, incident investigations, and initiating continuous safety improvements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to all organizational levels.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range from £60,000 to £70,000, plus bonus opportunities.
