Job description
Role overview
This is a senior automotive leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to take charge of warranty and aftersales operations. The role is focused on strengthening how the function works, improving service standards, and guiding a team to deliver consistent support to dealers and customers.
Depending on the candidate’s background, the position may cover both warranty and aftersales leadership or initially concentrate on one area with wider responsibility expanding over time.
What you will do
- Direct and support the warranty and aftersales teams.
- Redesign workflows and operating models to make the department more effective.
- Introduce and lead improvement initiatives that raise customer satisfaction and day-to-day performance.
- Create KPIs, dashboards and reporting methods to track progress and outcomes.
- Make sure warranty claims are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with manufacturer rules.
- Manage technical support and aftersales activity so dealer and customer issues are resolved promptly.
- Work with technical and training functions to strengthen technical capability across the dealer network.
- Develop productive working relationships with dealers, manufacturers and internal teams.
- Find ways to improve service quality, lower costs and increase warranty recovery.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members while building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to business growth through aftersales initiatives and customer retention efforts.
- Ensure all activities meet relevant quality, warranty and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for
The ideal person will be commercially minded, technically confident and comfortable leading operational change in an automotive environment.
- Deep experience leading warranty, aftersales or service operations in the automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of warranty procedures, dealer operations and manufacturer standards.
- Proven ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams.
- Track record of improving processes, introducing change and delivering measurable results.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Experience working closely with technical and training teams.
- A customer-first approach with the ability to balance service quality and commercial priorities.
- Confidence influencing decisions at senior leadership level.
Additional experience considered
Applications from candidates with exposure to commercial vehicles, passenger cars, bus and coach, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, or other OEM/importer settings will also be considered.
