Overview
This senior leadership role sits at the center of technology execution and business control for a financial services digital build. The position functions as a technology chief of staff and operational lead, connecting finance, strategy, and engineering delivery to keep squads moving quickly, spend tightly governed, and operating models ready to grow.
The mandate is ideal for someone who enjoys working where transformation, budget oversight, and Agile scaling meet. The role will influence enterprise-level change by improving how technical teams are organized, measured, and managed.
Key Accountabilities
- Own technology planning cycles across the year and quarter, including budget management, headcount planning, and cost discipline to ensure investment stays aligned with digital priorities.
- Build and refine workforce models that balance onshore, offshore, and vendor resources while protecting quality and delivery throughput.
- Create and promote consistent ways of working across technical squads and tribes by defining and embedding standardized Agile, DevOps, and delivery practices.
- Move reporting away from manual tracking toward live dashboards, predictive insights, and productivity tooling that give executives a clear view of delivery health and return on investment.
Candidate Profile
The right person combines strong financial thinking with solid technical understanding across SDLC, CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps environments. They should be comfortable managing budgets and headcount while also speaking credibly with engineering and technical leadership.
Successful candidates will bring more than 18 years of experience in banking, financial services, or digital platform environments, along with the presence to discuss risk and priorities with senior executives in a matrixed organization.
A background in PMO, a COO office, or transformation leadership is important, especially where the focus has been on operating model design in large-scale digital settings. The ideal applicant is highly structured, deeply analytical, and focused on removing delivery bottlenecks.
