Job description

Role overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity with a major financial services group in Asia. The role is centred on shaping and delivering the organisation’s data, analytics, and AI agenda so it creates clear business value.

What you will lead

  • Set the overall data and AI direction from end to end, making sure it supports business priorities such as growth and better operational performance.
  • Guide the creation and rollout of machine learning solutions, forecasting models, and generative AI use cases.
  • Oversee data governance, information quality, security, and regulatory compliance across the wider data environment.

Leadership expectations

  • Bring strong executive presence and confidence when presenting to senior stakeholders, including board-level audiences.
  • Communicate complex analytical ideas in a clear way that non-technical audiences can understand while preserving the core insight.
  • Work effectively in diverse cultural settings and adapt well to different working styles and expectations.
  • Influence decisions and progress initiatives successfully in matrixed or federated organisations.

Experience needed

  • At least 15 years of progressive experience across data analytics, data leadership, and AI leadership, including scaling capabilities in large environments.
  • Strong background in financial services, preferably in asset management, banking, insurance, or a mix of these sectors.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and cultures within APAC or in global roles.
  • Evidence of delivering measurable business outcomes through data and AI, rather than only building teams or technology platforms.
